Employee Development Program

 

More than 500 are trained every year by the business school covering the areas of Strategy, Innovation, Sustainability, and Energy Transition and ensuring rapid networking not only with each other, but also with Senior Executives working at headquarters who are hosted in all live sessions with their presentations and cases.

A unique aspect of the PS is that almost all trainers, instructional designers, authors and organizers, around 70, come from HQ related departments including Global Heads as well as several Senior Executive Leaders opening and closing each session as sponsors. On top of the over 4000 participants trained since its opening, the PS saw 1104 new participants from all over the world virtually attending more than 27 courses in 2022. In 2022 the Professional School launched 2 core initiatives to boost training offering world-wide. The Soft Skills Train the Trainer program trained 70 trainers worldwide on 9 Soft Skills areas and more than 70 sessions in global and local languages were delivered. Furthermore, a campaign in support of the Speak Up results highlighting need of improvement in feedback giving and receiving trained 200 HR colleagues to cascade effective feedback training worldwide and more than 4000 people were reached.
In 2022 also The Sustainability Academy was founded to face the necessary upskilling and move forward to the sustainability goals and scopes we are pursuing. Thanks to our Learning Management System (Workday) we were able to reach over 3500 employees.

These programs seek to transfer, develop and consolidate know- how and technical skills in the areas of innovation and product development, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and purchasing. The aim is also to develop negotiation skills, business knowledge for staff functions, and interfunctional expertise across the company areas. The Professional School of the Academy plays also an important role for intergenerational diversity, having people with different seniority and background working together. Networking and technical career boost remain a priority.

Some courses offer an immediate pay-off such as Lean Six Sigma with its certification in Green Belts and Black belts. In this case participants develop a successful project related to cost reduction, Efficiency improvement, Quality improvements or debottlenecking to increase capacity in their plants, get assessed for potential vacancies as plant managers ending into the pipeline for strategic technical roles. Trained last year more than 80 Lean Six Sigma Green Belts and more than 20 Black belts. Total produced savings linked to Lean Six Sigma are in an excess of 10,6 MM€ for 2022.
